莒光號撞怪手 延誤5100名旅客

今天上午八點十分，一列苗栗前往高雄的台鐵541次莒光，在行經「新營到林鳳營」間，撞到停在鐵軌上的怪手，造成機車配電盤損壞、第一車和第二車出門受損，所幸無人傷亡列、車上三百名旅客也安然無恙。台鐵立即安排從嘉義往屏東的3131次區間車進行接駁，在八點三十八分疏運完畢。經過緊急搶修，上午十點十三分恢復雙線通車。

根據台鐵統計，這次事故共影響十六列次、五千一百人，至於在損壞部分，台鐵表示，有一組計軸器、三支平交道遮斷桿和機車後主排檔器損壞。
