明星全壘打大賽26日登場，參加「公益金球全壘打大賽」的義大犀牛胡金龍在25日賽前記者會表示，會挑戰以左打開轟，加碼公益獎金，要是敲出全壘打，就會再捐出5克、合計10克黃金存摺給罕見疾病基金會，他差點辦到了！小白球落在右外野紅土前，要是順風情況，胡金龍說，這球有機會出去。

球員只要在比賽中轟出金球，台銀就會捐贈黃金存摺5公克幫助罕見疾病基金會，其中每位選手都有一顆試打球（非金球）、和三次失敗機會，即使連續轟出2支以上，還是以5克計算。

不過胡金龍自己加碼，他今天先以慣用手右手擊出全壘打，成功替罕病小朋友募得5克黃金存摺，隨即挑戰左打、要加碼獎金，不過挑戰失敗。

為何有想要左打的想法？胡金龍表示，桃園球場以往的風向對左打有利，加上自己旅美時曾練左右開弓，才會想要在比賽中挑戰左打：「本來想說會比較好打，不過今天的風不太一樣。」

雖然挑戰失敗，但胡金龍還是很開心：「 好玩就好啦，幫助需要的人最重要，我就放輕鬆打，要是一支都沒打出去，我會自己捐。」
